From the Publisher:
When a Catholic priest is fatally poisoned during a funeral mass, NYPD Detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas pursues an uneasy investigation involving a hidden religious medal, underlined Bible passages, and clues suggesting that the victim was not who he appeared to be.
Nora Roberts continues her bestselling IN DEATH tales, using her writerly alter ego, J.D. Robb. SALVATION IN DEATH is the 27th installment in the futuristic murder mystery series. The year is 2060, and Lt. Eve Dallas must investigate what appears to be the poisoning of a local priest. When an autopsy reveals the priest's secret past, Dallas finds herself in a world of gang violence and a strange story of vengeance. Nora Roberts is one of the most prolific writers in the world: reportedly, 21 of her books are sold every minute.
Author Bio
J. D. Robb
Nora Roberts didn't become an immediate best-selling author, but once she sold her first novel, she never looked back. A mother of two small children at the time, Roberts began writing in 1979 with a number-two pencil and a spiral notebook. She wrote sporadically while her two sons were at school, a schedule she maintained long after they had grown up and gone to college. Two years and several manuscripts after her initial attempt, her first novel, "Irish Thoroughbred", appeared, the first of over 100 novels she would write in the following two decades. While having dabbled in many of the genre's forms, Roberts has found most of her success writing contemporary romances flavored with both suspense and adventure. The youngest of five children, Roberts grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1968, she married Ronald Aufdem-Brinke, the father of her two children, but divorced him in 1985, the same year she married her second husband, Bruce Wilder.

Detective Eve Dallas must use all her investigative powers to solve the creepy murders at St. Christobal's church in Harlem. Futuristic and Biblical, nothing is quite as it seems in this installment of J.D. Robb's popular IN DEATH series.
