BEFORE YOU BUY one of these...7/1/2011
I have one of these tablets with T-Mobile service, and it is totally wonderful. HOWEVER, there is something that you need to know before buying one of these for use WITHOUT cellular service. Although the GSM is unlocked, the device still requires you to have a SIM card inserted with cellular service to update and/or download apps. Without cellular service, any attempt to download an app will result in a failure. I have to pull the SIM card out of mine and insert it into my girlfriend's tablet, let her download, then insert it back into my tablet. If you are purchasing one of these with the intention of purchasing cellular service, though, you will not have any such problems.
