Author Info
Faye Kellerman
Faye Kellerman attended UCLA where she met her husband and married him in 1972. After graduating two years later with a degree in mathematics, she earned a D.D.S. in 1978 and became a practicing dentist. Her first novel, "The Ritual Bath", appeared in 1985, the same year her husband's first novel was published. Kellerman went on to write a series of mysteries featuring the two detectives she introduced in her debut, Peter Decker, a Jewish LAPD cop who was raised Baptist by his adoptive parents, and Rina Lazarus, an Orthodox widow. Kellerman's mysteries delve into the close-knit Orthodox Jewish community, often focusing on a violent act committed within an otherwise serene and religious setting.
"Characters whose personal lives we care about and whose spiritual and emotional growth are as compelling as the events themselves."
From the Publisher
Editors Note A diamond dealer and his entire family have mysteriously disappeared from their sprawling Los Angeles manor, leaving the estate undisturbed and their valuables untouched. Investigating detective Peter Decker is stumped—faced with a perplexing case riddled with dead ends. Then a second dealer is found murdered in Manhattan, catapulting Decker and his wife, Rina, into a twisted maze of murder and intrigue that spans the globe . . . only to touch down dangerously in their own backyard.
