The read/write speeds are so slow, it's close to unbearable. I love the design but SanDisk really blundered this one model. I have the 4gb and 8gb earlier versions of the same design but the electronics are completely different. The testing was done on a 2.0 USB (for those who are curious about it) The price is enticing but I think the reason is so cheap, is that people stooped buying them at the regular price. If you don't mind the hours of waiting for file transfers in the Gb range (or transferring many smaller ones) and the budget doesn't allow you to purchase a faster, more expensive make/model, then this is a good buy. Just be warned about the slowness of it, that's all.

A 16 gigabit flash drive but is compact and handy to slip into my pockets. Purchased two of them and they have been great storing gadgets.

Looks great but worthless otherwise

Love my 16GB drive

by J. B. on 9/17/2010

I purchased one of these drives back in the beginning of August and I've loved it. I have it full of music and use it in my 2009 Ford Focus's Microsoft Sync radio. It did take a while to load up nearly 16GB of music on there, but the price makes that over shadowed. I don't know if it would be good to boot a pc or hi-speed use, but it works great for me. I've been using a 4GB Titanium San Disk for booting my laptop with Ubuntu 10.04; boots in well under a minute. Read More
