A very good buy for SSD7/27/2013
This SSD replaces my 2 years old Crucial M4 256GB which was giving some problem lately inside my MacBook pro! This new Sandisk Extreme 480GB SSD now are running smoothly with double capacity and good performance! It is a good buy with discount! Highly recommended!
Better than most.7/9/2013
Out of the SSD's I've used the SanDisk Extreme's are hands down the best performance and value for the money.
Wonderful performance addition!!!3/31/2013
Just installed one of these into my Lenovo W520 and it's wonderful! Boots much faster (saw the youtube videos and confirm improvement). Only catch is you need a kit to create image (which I had from an earlier SSD swap). Also, S/W required a USB2.0 port, not 3.0. Otherwise, it's a great addition, now my laptop performs like a Ferrari (2.5GHz quad core)!!
Completely satisfied with this SSD2/26/2013
I have used this Sandisk Extreme SSD in a Mac Mini for over half a year. It is really fast. The boot-up and shutdown time is very short. In loading up large files for my work (several gigabytes), I feel it is a bit faster than Crucial M4. So far I have not had a single problem with it. Upgrading firmware on a Mac is not as simple as on a Windows PC. First you need to burn the disc image on a CD and then boot your Mac from the CD.
SanDisk Quality and fast1/22/2013
This SSD is fast and well-packaged. I actually am using it as an external drive to test Windows 8, and I have it connected via an interface from a Seagate external drive that is removable from the drive (no external enclosure). I have had a dozen SanDisk thumb drives over the years, and have never had a failure.
This product is exactly everything I needed. I run a Mac and use VM's as needed. My Mac boots within seconds and my VMs on my Mac boot within seconds as well. Great product. Everything I expected.
Fast fast fast8/29/2012
Wanted to upgrade my macbook pro from 2010. What a difference a drive makes. Takes 11 seconds to startup and loading photoshop takes 2. Crazy fast very happy.
NO need to do a firmware upgrade8/2/2012
SanDisk SSD comes with up to date firmware so dont west time looking for it. the products work and dont worry about trim support with windows 7 or vista plug n play. i used Acronis backup to clone my sata drive first then put the image into ssd worked fine. windows benchmark went from 3.2 to 7.5 or 7.7. I am happy with this ssd and it works. i bought a second one for my second laptop
I chose this SSD because Tom's Hardware reviewed i5/17/2012
I chose this SSD because Tom's Hardware reviewed it as the best bang for the buck at 120GB. I'm using it with my ThinkPad T420s running Fedora Linux. Works perfectly, and wow, what a difference it makes to the overall performance and snappiness of the machine. Booting is much faster, but so are many other tasks, including just basic web browsing (since presumably the cache is faster). Well worth the cost.
