This radio just sucks down batteries..
I have a Sangean WFR-1 and was pleased with that purchase. I decided to buy this radio to have an Internet enabled portable to take out on the patio or in the garage. This thing just sucks the juice out of batteries. With brand new Energizer NIMH I may get four hours of use. Alkaline may just double that. When you plug the power adapter in, it disconnects the battery. It does not have a battery charge facility. Other than that the radio has good tone. The menu interface takes some getting used to, but once you have the five presets set up, you won't be needing to go back to the menus too much. So instead of a truly portable Internet radio, I just have another table top tethered to an AC adapter. By the way, I have opened and closed the battery door so often I snapped off the flimsy plastic tab hinges that hold the door on. The battery door is now taped on.
