Strudy mount, but pay attention to details3/8/2009
This is a very sturdy mount, with a several of minor complaints/points: 1. You must mount the bulk of the assembly to the TV (thus adding at least 20 lbs. to the total weight that must be lifted). Definitely have 2 people on hand (preferably 3) for anything bigger thatn 32". 2. You will need to order an adapter plates if your set has anything bigger than VESA 200x200 (such as the my Sony with 300x300). This is only available from the manufacturer directly for about $25 (incl. shipping). 3. The screws and washers are silver colored, whereas the Peerless brand comes with black. You can see them when the TV is pulled out and swiveled. 4. The centerline of the wall mount is about 3" off of the centerline for the set. so take everything out of the box and measure before drilling holes in your wall...and be sure to find a 2x4 or other solid support...
Great product at a good price.2/28/2009
I bought this TV mount for a 37 inch LCD TV. I've got a dvd rack hidden behind the TV and I wanted to be able to swing the TV out of the way to get to it. This product worked perfectly.
I had reviewed several LCD mounts and this mount was the one that won my purchase. First of all you can not beat the price through the net, local store wanted 200+ for same. It comes with all hardware to mount it to the wall (as long as it is not concrete) and mount to any VESA compatible LCD monitor. Second of all it is not difficult to mount the base plate to the wall (I highly recommend you measure the set you will mount before you mount the base to the wall, you will be grateful you did). Third this thing can hold some weight, I mounted a 32" monitor to it and I use it as a computer monitor and a TV which I swing to a different position to view. This position extends the arm at full length from the wall and allows me to swivel it a full 90 degrees with 2" of clearence from the wallwhen in final position. Not one single creak or sound from the mount, this is a relief since it would really stink if it ripped out of the wall. The only compliant and the reason why a gave a 4 for satisfaction is that the mount screws for the base plate are smaller than the holes they pass through on the base plate leaving room for movement regardless how tight you tighten the mount screws. I recommend two things for this. 1 - make sure you mount the top and bottom screws opposite of each other and off center ( you will understand when you look at the base plate). 2 - go out and purchase 3 star washers and place one between the base plate and flat washer of each base plate screw. This will keep the base plate from sliding under the flat washers and wallowing out the holes over time when you swing the mount from one position to another.
Awesome LCD arm3/7/2007
Beats any price. Very nice construction. Hanging tip: Do not mount too high. TV has to connect on mount at an upward angle.
Perfect for the job2/9/2007
This product is excellent. It worked perfectly with my tv and the instructions were very easy to follow. My only challenge is that it is pretty expensive when you are already putting a lot down on a flat screen. But I give it overall an "A".
