Customer Reviews of Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex STAA1500100 1.5TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive
This is a great USB Hard drive. It is amazingly fast and the installation is a breeze. My Windows system recognized it immediately and I was able to use it in seconds. The shipment was on time and price is pretty good. I would definately recomend this drive to anyone looking for storage.
Been looking for this product at this price for long time. Found it.
This is a great usb hard drive. It is super fast and very quiet. The shipment was fast as well. The price is very resonable as they have dropped over the years. I use it to backup all my data in case my hard drive crashes. Definately will buy a couple more.
Great For Backups8/14/2012
I've tried several brands of external hard drives. This is one of the best for reliability. I haven't used the loaded software, but for simple file copying it's worked great. The driver installs as soon as you plug the device into your USB port. I've had no issues using it with Windows 7.
This is the best Hard Drive that I have bought online. And actually best one anywhere. It gets installed quickly and you don't have to be a pc guru to do it. It has instructions and Windows will pick up the dirve very easily. The price is resonable and the shipment was fast.
Drive works great so far.6/19/2012
The drive is small and compact, works well and quite fast. Has about 1.3TB available and connected first time without any problems. Have put 500GB on it already and no problems. Happy so far.
nice hard drive6/17/2012
The packaging was minimal but sturdy. There's no unnecessary plastic or cardboard. I am using this drive on an older Mac as a jukebox and so far it works well. I simply plugged the power cable and the USB cable in and it popped up on the desktop immediately. Well that’s a Mac for you. It came preloaded with a bunch of back up software and was formatted for pc so I reformatted the drive. That only took a few minutes, very painless. A whole lot of storage for great price in a small foot print.

Seagate products are tops in my book for quality and value.
Over all good item2/28/2012
Item looks very stylish, is light and performance over all good.
I got it for $145 during the Christmas sale. So excellent price. Actually less than $1/GB. Quick shipping as well. It is easy to use and very slim. Does NOT need an external power supply. No problems in recognizing the drive. I use Windows Vista. Transfer speed on USB2.0 is decent. I transferred about 275Gb of data from other hard disk to this one in about 3 hours. I've had experience with even longer times before. I am sure USB3.0 will be faster.
Great Drive - one minor snag1/4/2011
I really like this drive. Love the fact you don't have to plug it into the wall, transfer speed is fast, size makes it easy to put in my laptop bag and carry with. The only problem I had, was I used the drive to backup a Lacie drive that is probably 5 years old. The Lacie drive allowed or distinguished 2 files in the same folder with a name like "track_01.mp3" and "Track_01.MP3" this drive would not allow 2 files with same name to be in the same folder if the only difference was capitalization of some of the file name characters. Unfortunately, I had quite a few such files (seems weird, but I did) - thus on a mass transfer, it kept stopping and I had to start over when it hit a folder with 2 files like that. I can't really hold that against Seagate though, almost more odd that the Lacie allowed it to begin with. Other than that, this drive is pretty slick.
dont take the risk of losing your valued memories12/17/2010
Unreliable drive. Second one that fail while I really take care of it (unplugging via windows first, then manually,etc...) Whole drive failed and it is internal problems, because none of the seagate diagnostic tools work. Rude warranty department, they will find all reasons so they won't replace your drive. 2nd drive from this brand that fail beacuse of cheap material used. Would go with another brand. Dont risk of losing all your pictures.
