Seiko SLP 4503/16/2009
This was purchased to replace an SL420 that had only a serial connection. When the original unit developed comm port issues we quickly made the decision to upgrade to a newer unit that supported USB. We already had the latest version of software from the Seiko support site so installation was very simple. We opened the suite, performed a search for the new hardware and were printing again in minutes. The new printer uses the same labels which allows us to use existing inventory. It prints quickly and quietly. I do agree with other comments that the application could use an update as it looks dated.
SLP-450, a Great Buy5/28/2007
Unit works great and for the price you cant beat it. We currently using it for labeling cat5 cables.
Printer great....software needs improvement3/12/2007
Printer performs well and should be on every desk. I think I can finally throw out my old IBM Selectric, as all I was using it for was typing mail labels. Printer is fast and labels are clear and crisp. The software needs work. Once a label has been created, the entire label goes blank and you have to double click in the label area to make it visible.
Nice label printer for OSX - fast2/15/2007
OSX review only. Would buy/recommend again. USB, and OSX network printer sharing. Just works. Can use the slick included s/w - or set up as OSX printer.
