The name Sennheiser is an extra $15
I was searching for earbuds that had the various sized ear pieces and these were the only one's I found that weren't noise cancelling and received decent reviews from other users. As far as having superior sound over earbuds costing half as much as these, I can't agree with that. I guess if you stamp them with a brand name such as Sennheiser or Bose you can charge more, but it's not just the name the consumer is looking for in a product. They want the quality of that name to be reflected in that item as well. These earbuds replace a pair of $5 Coby earbuds and other than the fact that the ear cups were too small on the Coby's, the sound was equal, IMO.
