When tough, no-nonsense L.A. cop Shotgun Jones' (Stuart Chapin, Deadlock) prostitute sister is sadistically murdered by one of her johns, Jones swears vengeance. But his aggressive, renegade actions get him kicked off the force. Without back-up, Jones traces the evidence to a small town in Mexico, a looming fortress where money and drugs rule. The closer he gets to the killer, the deeper the danger gets. With machine guns blazing, Shotgun Jones wages a one-man battle against the drug cartel in the ultimate showdown for justice.
Shotgun is a 1989 movie from the people at PM Productions, who in the early 1990s would basically keep the careers of martial-artists turned movie-stars like Don 'The Dragon' Wilson and Gary Daniels going by handing them roles in a string of pretty lame, but often quite enjoyable movies. In 1989, they apparently didn't have any martial arts heroes to make films for, so instead they just made movies like Shotgun, where they basically grabbed some people from the street to make a film so ungodly bad it's actually brilliant.
