Product Overview

Hang out with your favorite green ogre in this exclusive DVD 2-pack! Laughs abound in these hilarious action-adventure fairy tales as Shrek treks with his best pals Donkey, Puss in Boots, and, of course, the lovely Princess Fiona. Includes SHREK 2 and SHREK 3D: PARTY IN THE SWAMP!

SHREK 2: Everyone's favorite larger-than-life hero returns in SHREK 2, the #1 comedy of all time hailed by critics and audiences alike as even better than its Oscar winning predecessor! USA Today proclaims "there are so many jokes and jests, not even a jelly-bellied ogre could consume them all in one sitting." Happily ever after never seemed so far, far away when a trip to meet the in-laws turns into another hilariously twisted adventure for Shrek and Fiona. With the help of his faithful steed Donkey, Shrek takes on a potion-brewing Fairy Godmother, the pompous Prince Charming, and the famed ogre-killer, Puss in Boots, a ferocious feline foe who's really just a pussycat at heart!

SHREK 3D: When we last left everyone's favorite newly-weds Shrek and Fiona, they were singing and dancing late into the night with Donkey and all the fairytale creatures. Happily ever after...right? Not so fast...The honeymoon has barely begun when Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) is ambushed by Lord Farquaad's (John Lithgow) henchman, Thelonius. A dizzying and hilarious chase ensues with Shrek (Mike Myers) and Donkey (Eddie Murphy) hot on the trail! More action, more adventure, more fun than picks up right where Shrek left off...and drops you off laughing and out of breath before SHREK 2 begins!

Review [2] Call me twisted, but it's hard not to feel crazy love for an animated movie that pictures Cinderella's stepsister as an aging gorgon who tends bar in a dump called the Poison Apple, offers tips on where to find a hit man and talks in a voice of pure Larry King gravel (King himself did the vocals). In Shrek 2, our hero--a newlywed ogre with a persistent flatulence problem--is in jeopardy from a king who wants him dead, a psycho fairy godmother and a wife who thinks he needs an extreme makeover. Shrek 2 brims with perverse pleasures that show no respect for the rules of kiddie-cartoon form, which is all to the good.

Review [2] Rare is the movie that works on as many levels as Shrek did. Rarer still is the sequel that outshines the original. On a four-star rating system, Shrek 2 gets a five. It's even more clever than the first Shrek, with even more advanced animation, and a larger cast that is equal to the original...The depiction of Far, Far Away is worth several viewings in and of itself. Watch the people on the sidewalks and the squeegee pages. Check out the store names. The detail is phenomenal...As with the original, Shrek 2 is a movie that requires multiple viewings to catch all the jokes and pop-culture references...In some ways, the humor seems so oriented to grownups that one wonders if children will enjoy the movie. But if the preview screening, which found viewers enduring more security checkpoints than in an airport, is any indication, the kiddies will love it, too. And you know how kids want to watch movies over and over - this is one adults can enjoy multiple times as well.
