"A pop culture phenomenon...a poignant satire of society... David Johnson, DVD Verdict
"...the longest running primetime cartoon in the history of television. NeedCoffee.com
"...the only network show that can be depended on for a few laugh-out-loud moments week after week... Phil Gallo, Variety
"...the best television series ever made. Period. Tim Goodman, San Francisco Chronicle
Much like season 1, season 2 is a great collection of episodes but accompanied by few extras. There are commentaries and a few animation examples and foreign language clips, but no behind-the-scenes footage, games, etc. like you might find on a Disney DVD. The animators and voice actors really hit their stride, with full characterizations and great stories.
One of the best seasons8/29/2003
With new and cleverly-animated menus, this is the best Simpsons boxed set yet. The extras are still meager, but the third-season episodes are some of the best the show has produced, including ones in which we meet Krusty's father, see Bart join Fat Tony's mob, watch the Flaming Moe become a hit drink, and see Homer become a country singer's manager. The producers still haven't figured out a good way to present the extras for each episode, so the menus are still a bit of a maze. Look for a few hidden commentary tracks by Al Jean.
Season 2 is the best so far!8/10/2002
The Simpsons Complete Season Two is a significant improvement over Season One. Not only are the episodes better, but the production of the DVDs seems more professional, including fully animated chapter selections. The best Simpsons DVDs yet. Can't wait for Season 3 ... and 4 ... and ...

Season 2... current trends begin!5/19/2002
As any true Simpsonite knows, Season 1 was spent largely on discovering, fine-tuning and polishing the characters we now know and love. At first the show centered on Bart's anti-heroic ways, but in the Second Season, it finally started focusing more on Homer's bumbling and sheer idiocy. Even his character differs from the Homer of the first season (he was originally far more mean-spirited than dim-witted). If you love the present-day Simpsons, you will adore the second season.
The Second season awaits4/18/2002
After purchasing the first season on DVD from BUY.COM, I will be very excited to see what the second season has in store. My memory is a little fuzzy, so I am sure I will see episodes which will bring back fond memories. Anyone who enjoys comedy should own this DVD set.
