The Durostar SD1300 Snow Demon
The Durastar SD1300 has the ability to throw snow 25 ft away from where you clear it, and comes with a discharge chute that can rotate a full 180 degrees side to side and 20 degrees up or down. Just don't use it to cover your neighbor’s car; I know you thought about it.

Customer Reviews of Snow Demon 1300 Watt Electric Snow Blower
I used it for the first time today. 1/24/13. I live just north of Buffalo and today is the first snowfall I could use my machine. It performed very well. I just have to get used to the cord. Seems great for nuisance snow. My two-stage stayed in the garage.

Save your money2/11/2012
I wondered at the price, but bought it anyway. The very first thing that happened was the top of the chute broke in half when the cold snow hit it. Next the rotating blade, which is plastic, broke up to the metal bracket. It claims to throw snow 25 feet, don't believe it. 25 inches is more like it. I guess for the price and the fun I had, it was worth it. Kind of like going skiing on a windy day... I don't ski!!
defines term Cheap Crap1/22/2012
We live in Philly suburbs and have a very large driveway but because we only get snow a few times a year I decided to order it to supplement the shovels we normally use. Bought it in the end of December. When it arrived I immediately noticed that it’s made of cheap materials and not well thought through but I hoped it would make up in performance. Yesterday was the first snowfall and I had a chance to test Snow Demon out. Unfortunately, its performance is comparable to the materials it’s made off. We only had 2 inches of snow on the ground, so the amount should not have been an issue, yet the Snow Demon choked frequently requiring multiple pullbacks and restarts. But even worse was the fact that it left a thick layer of pressed snow on the ground, too much to melt with salt and very difficult to remove with a shovel. After using it for a few minutes we put it away and went back to shovels. I guess you get what you pay for. There are similar models sold in Home Depot and Lowes for slightly higher price, try them out, at least you can easily return them.
I bought this snowblower as a backup to my old gas engine blower. I seem to always have trouble getting the gas blower to start up every winter and the noise bothers my neighbors. The snow demon worked great. It cleared my driveway and walkway and it was a lot easier to maneuver and carry up the steps to my walkway. I also like it because its lightweight and I store it by hanging it on my garage wall. I like the snow demon and I would recommend it to my friends.

Defective Safety Mechanism11/22/2011
I received the snow blower yesterday. It does a pretty good job when one can get it to stay on. I am rating it very low because the safety mechanism that automatically shuts the unit off when you let go of the handle is defective and shuts of the unit repeatedly even when the handle has not been released. To be clear, I only get about 1 to 5 seconds of use before the safety mechanism shuts it off.
