From the Publisher:
When it's snowing, there's only one thing to do: Pull on some mittens and head outside. Lois Ehlert's seasonal classic--available for the first time as a board book--will inspire even the youngest snowman-builders. And it's just in time for winter!
Bold, full-color illustrations depict a fanciful snow family and snow animals decorated with found objects.
Author Bio
Lois Ehlert
Lois Ehlert was encouraged to explore her creativity by her parents and eventually attended the Layton School of Art and the University of Wisconsin. Ehlert started illustrating books for children early in her career but, unhappy with their final production quality, she stopped and focused on graphic design work. Ehlert returned to the world of children's book illustration only after she felt that publishers had begun to pay more attention to design and production. Her book COLOR ZOO was named a Caldecott Honor Book in 1990.

Five Owls
"This oversized picture book carries Ehlert's signature use of ordinary items to accent the splendor of nature....While the large typeface makes the text easier to read, it is the pictures and their changing perspectives that fascinate." - Cathryn M. Mercier March/April 1996
