Dennis O'Malley is a master on his skateboard and wants to try his hand at snowboarding. A bad skiing accident has left him afraid, and he begins to doubt his abilities on the board. Can Dennis overcome his fears on the slopes in time to prove his rivals wrong?
From the Publisher:
Can a skateboard pro conquer the slopes? Dennis O'Malley is the best skateboarder in town. Unfortunately, he has to shelve his board for more than half the year, when the streets are covered with snow. Then a new sport emerges on the scene, one that Dennis's friends think he'd be a natural at: snowboarding. Since snowboarding and skateboarding use such similar moves and techniques, making the jump from the streets to the slopes should be a breeze for Dennis. Only Dennis knows it won't be....
Author Bio
Matt Christopher
Matt Christopher was a semiprofessional baseball player until an injury permanently benched him. His first book, THE LUCKY BASEBALL BAT, was published in 1954. Christopher's specialty is writing children's books with a sports theme--not just limited to his personal specialty, baseball, but also football, hockey, basketball, and a variety of other sports. His more recent works, while still focusing on a sports theme, have also added elements of mystery, fantasy, and the supernatural.
