These are the Tates and these are the Campbells
"Soap" returned for its second season with the results of the trial for the murder of Peter the tennis pro -- and the identity of the real killer. It also begins with one of the funniest full-cast fight sequences, as the members of the Tate-Campbell families begin to point fingers at one another with great hysteria. Two of the most memorable story arcs this season involved spoofs of the recent films "The Exorcist" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". In the first, we find Corinne Tate (Diana Canova) pregnant with ex-priest Timothy Flotsky's (Sal Viscuso) baby, which is conceived, termed and delivered in such record time that he's positive the baby can't be his; he may be half right, considering the baby is possessed by the Devil and is turning the Tate household into a shambles. Meanwhile, Burt Campbell (Richard Mulligan), something of a laughingstock among both families for last season's bout with invisibility, now claims to have seen a UFO and is subsequently captured as the season draws to a close. Confused? You won't be after watching Season 2 of "Soap".
