From the Publisher:
Mac Williams, goalie for the Cougars, is known as much for his upbeat game chatter as for his outstanding saves. But when an anonymous artist starts making fun of him with a weekly cartoon, Mac is anything but upbeat. To make matters worse, he suspects that somebody close to him is the cartoonist. Would one of his friends really betray him-or is there someone else who wants to make him look ridiculous? When the school newspaper begins running a comic strip about him, Mac, the soccer team goalie, tries to uncover the identity of the artist before the strip gets out of hand
Author Bio
Matt Christopher
Matt Christopher was a semiprofessional baseball player until an injury permanently benched him. His first book, THE LUCKY BASEBALL BAT, was published in 1954. Christopher's specialty is writing children's books with a sports theme--not just limited to his personal specialty, baseball, but also football, hockey, basketball, and a variety of other sports. His more recent works, while still focusing on a sports theme, have also added elements of mystery, fantasy, and the supernatural.
