	Released at the same time as two other new instrumental bands' albums also led by the ubiquitous and prolific Gary Arce (the other two being Ten East and Yawning Man), Dark Tooth Encounter's Soft Monsters (which retains Ten East drummer Bill Stinson) is an experimental post-rock affair, doling out jazz-rock, CBGB art rock, early Wire, and disjointed but nervy psychedelia so far out even Flaming Lips might not attempt it.
