Basic On-site Service: The Basic On-Site Service Plan provides for the repair or replacement of defective equipment at the customer site. It covers the cost of all replacement parts (including AIT Tape Drives, labor, travel, packaging, and shipping expenses). Under this plan, a trained field engineer will provide technical phone support to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of the customer's equipment problem. If Sony determines that the equipment is defective, Sony endeavors to provide on-site service within the next business day of receiving the customer's call. All service and support is available five (5) days per week (Monday-Friday, excluding Sony's observed holidays) during normal Sony business hours (8:30 AM through 5:00 PM local time).
