Great value in a multi-disc player1/4/2013
This player holds a huge library of music and has the ability to do a shuffle play on a single cd, your entire library, or up to 8 different groupings of your CD's. It's very time consuming to manually put in the CD titles and the 13 character limit is frustrating sometimes, but with a simple spreadsheet you can have a list of the slots where every one of your CD's rests to find a specific cd. There is no video cable or hdmi to connect to see any cd data but sound quality is great!
Put CD's in and "Rock On"3/22/2012
It's hard to express how much enjoyment that this has and will bring to me in the future. The only thing that I can say is that it is "GREAT". I am a "disabled" US Navy Veteran (Wave) and a Senior Citizen and to have music back in my life is extremely relaxing! Thank you
KEEP IT THE LEVEL2/27/2012
I've had this unit for about a year now without any problems. It was originally on a shelf with my 40lb amplifier sitting on top of it. Once I removed the 40lb amplifier away, the CDs start skipping. So I put in this tweak which I learned from an audio forum. Put 4 round glass marbles under the cd player using a small bottle cap or something to under the marbles to keep it from rolling away. This stopped the skipping. Conlusion: The skipping is due to the vibration of the unit when the CD player is spinning and the problem is amplified by unit being so lightweight. By either adding more mass to the unit like putting something heavy on top of it or isolation using the marble trick or buy one of those audiophiles component spikes or damping feet. Update: 9/24/2009. After 5 years, this CD player still works beautifully. I'm not a fan of Sony products but this player has been with me for a long time and will still be my primary CD player. I do not notice scratches on CDs like others have mentioned. If you have skipping problems please try the suggestion I mentioned above. If you have CD loading problems, make sure the CD player is leveled as this is a vertical loader not the horizontal tray type typical found in smaller players.
Sony CDP-CX355 CD changer12/27/2010
I am replacing a Sony CDP-CX335 because it stopped working after about 10 years. I was always pleased with the previous model and replaced it with the almost same model and would buy it again. I was also pleased with Buy.com's delivery and would buy from they again.
300 Disc Changer8/14/2010
I am learning how to use the different programs, but love this product so far after a having received this a couple weeks ago. Although it's a lot of work getting all of the discs organized and put into the player, it is wonderful to just look at a record that I am making up in Microsoft Word to see what I would like to listen to.
