A Good Return For SSX5/30/2012
I have to say SSX is a fun game with a few faults that become noticeable. The game has almost everything that made previous entries fun such as the music, insane tricks, and ridiculous areas, but it also lacked the character personalities and the free runs that most have enjoyed in previous games. I liked the ridernet where you could post your high score to see how you rank against the best. While going down the mountains were fun, I do have to say that the deadly descent areas and the gear your character has to wear to do the events can get bothersome. I remember one area where the character has to wear a certain pair of goggles because of white out conditions come to mind and I constantly thought this was irritating. The game has a problem with drop offs where if your not careful you can see your character fall to their doom and this can become bothersome at first if your both a newcomer and recent fan of the game. If you can look past some of the faults then SSX can be a fun game that can last you may want to keep in your library of games.
Great FUN Game5/16/2012
This is a great game. Very fun. I do not like it as the Main game I play, but it is a game when I do play 3x a week when I do play its the best. Even better with xbox live where you can compete against friends times and scores. can be a little of the same thing over and over thats why it is a back up game but I still play it often 3x a week, great game to play with friends, family and others.
Worst sequel ever.3/4/2012
Well, it's another sequel from EA that fails to live up to the hype. To start, my game would freeze just after the "game save" warning screen. That's right, right after the game started up, it freezes while trying to connect to RiderNet. I found out that after waiting 4-5 minutes, the game would become useable, however, this is where the game goes downhill. For some background, I used to be really into SSX 3. Once you opened up all 3 peaks, it would take you 30 minutes to get from the uppermost peak all the way to the bottom, and you could pick any way to get down. With SSX, it isn't nearly such an open experience. This time, you get nine places around the world, with 3 peaks each having 2-3 runs. Once you finish a run, that's it. You move on to the next one. What's different? The 'deadly decent', where you get a mountain either full of trees, covered in ice with narrow trails, or... whatever. No longer can you just have fun exploring a huge mountain. Now you have a bunch of little runs that you'll most likely just fall off the side of. Give me a break. This game sucks, and I'm returning it.
SSX is BACK!!!1/12/2012
SSX was one of the greatest games for the Playstation 2, it's awesome to see that it's back and better than ever. Improved gameplay, improved graphics, same fun. The folks at EA have hit a homerun with this game. The addition of Google maps and realistic environments is just what the series needed. This should be one of the most anticipated returns of the year!!!
