Star Wars Galaxies: Trials of Obi-Wan is a special treat for online Star Wars fanatics. It's the expansion pack to the popular Star Wars Galazy: An Empire Divided - but it was made exclusively for high-level characters. This is both a reward for players that have spent lightyears leveling their characters up to 60+ and an incentive for other players to reach these high levels...The characters look excellent and there are a lot of them. I won't spoil the surprise but you will meet characters from both the movies and various Star Wars games. The sounds are pure LucasArt. All of the effects are perfect for their corresponding weapons from the blast of the lava cannons to the hum of the lighsabers. Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, you've probably heard something about Star Wars Galaxies, the first massively multiplayer online RPG (MMORPG) based in the Star Wars universe. But for those of you who might not be video game savvy, here's the premise: imagine creating your own character in the Star Wars universe, making him become anything you want, and being able to "live" in that galaxy far, far away...probably the best looking MMORPG on the market right now, maybe even one of the best looking PC games. The character models are done very well, and so are the animations. But this game really shines with its environment models. Every part of the environment seems real, from the grass swaying in the breeze or the ripples on the water as you run through it. - Troy Roberts
