I purchased a bare hard drive (no cables or other installation hardware) because of the very low price, so I needed a cable to make it work. This was the least expensive SATA cable I was able to find. When I went to install the hard drive, I found out that it was at the bottom of the case right up against the edge. The other drive had the cable with the right angle connector on the drive end. That's the one I should have bought but I didn't know there was one. Fortunately I was able to bend the cable enough to get the case cover back on, but you might be better served by getting the other one with the angled connector. Moral of the story? Look inside your case first before you order.
