SteelSeries 7G sets new industry standards for gaming keyboards by allowing users to perform the most detailed and advanced key combinations to date. By utilizing the most powerful PS/2 buffer-system ever created for a gaming keyboard, SteelSeries 7G redefines "anti-ghosting" by supporting as many simultaneous key presses as there are keys on the keyboard. The keyboard features both PS/2 and USB connectors.
Good but too expensive5/25/2012
7G comes with black MX switch by Cherry, but a lot more expensive than its competitors who offers other choices of switches and fancy stuff like backlit. I have no idea why a mouse pad company dare to charge a keyboard for such a high price. I would rather get one from professional keyboard makers like Cherry, Filco, DAS or DECK

I am very satisfied with my SteelSeries 7g keyboard. First off I'd like to say that my experience with SteelSerie's products has been great. I own a SteelSeries mouse, headset, gaming surface, and now keyboard. All of which I can say are of excellent quality. If you buy this keyboard you're probably never going to need a replacement. What I like best about the SteelSeries 7G is it's powerful PS/2 buffer system. I know some of you gamers out there have experienced "ghosting", with this keyboard - not gunu happen. Surprisingly that's more then I can say for a lot of the supposedly "gaming keyboards" out there that run close to the same price. Lastly, I love the mechanical switches. You don't see that a lot with keyboards anymore and you can really feel the difference; it's great.
Beats anything else.5/9/2008
I'm writing this review on this keyboard right now- I have owned a Razer Lycosa,Razer Tarantual, Logitech G15, and Saitek Eclipse for gaming keyboards, and the quality, and function of the Steelseries 7G completely out does them. It's heavy as heck, something I do not mind one bit, and the entire thing screams build quality. The key presses are perfect, a bit deep but they register at almost any touch to the key- without being too sensitive. You might look at this thing, and go "where are the features?" like I first did. All I can say is it is as feature packed as it needs to be, nothing more. The media keys function well, (yes, there are media keys, see the logo where the right windows button is? you press it, then press F1-F6 for media functions. However they do not work in itunes.) Quality can't be pushed enough in this review, its a wonderful keyboard, and has me wanting to try their other products. It out classes any of the other high end keyboards out there. Bar-none.
