This time, stuart must journey through the city with a reluctant snowball to rescue a new friend, margalo, from a villanious falcon.

"...the adventures of the 3-inch mouse...now have more visual flair...  Kenneth Turan, Los Ageles Times
"...it just zings along with vibrance and warmth.  Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper
"The sequel beats the original paws down.  Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal
"I enjoyed the movie, in its innocent way.  Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

Editor's Note
Lovable talking mouse Stuart Little (voiced by Michael J. Fox) lives with his human family in a quaint brownstone near Central Park in an idyllic New York City. In this sequel to the 1999 blockbuster, Stuart deals with growing pains. His mother (Geena Davis) is overprotective of her fearless minuscule mouse son who plays soccer, skateboards, and drives his own convertible to school. Meanwhile, his brother, George (Jonathan Lipnicki), is spending more and more of his time with his friends, leaving Stuart feeling deserted. Just when Stuart is at his loneliest, a lovely bird named Margalo (voiced by Melanie Griffith) literally falls into his life while she is being pursued by a vicious falcon (voiced by James Woods). Adventure and hijinks ensue when Margalo--who is not as innocent as she appears to be--disappears and Stuart vows to find her. Snowbell (voiced by Nathan Lane), the family cat, provides substantial comic relief. Hugh Laurie also stars as Stuart's levelheaded father, and Steve Zahn provides the voice for the scruffy cat Monty. Top-notch animation and a fitting voice from Fox make Stuart endearing and oddly human.

The New York Times 8 of 10
Both Stuart Little...and the even better Stuart Little 2, are superior family films that have perfected a seamless fusion of live action and animation in which it is difficult to tell where one leaves off and the other begins. Both films lend New York City a magical storybook ambience where even the shabbiest back alley possesses a jaunty picturesque charm. - Stephen Holden

San Francisco Chronicle 8 of 10
...Stuart is a computer-generated character who's so meticulously crafted that he has facial expressions, twitchy whiskers and glistening fur. He is seamlessly woven into the movie's live action so that it hardly dawns on viewers that he is anything but a real person. - Mick LaSalle
