Not very satisfied - Second review11/8/2010
I already posted one review few months back. Posting this again as one of the locking knobs broke a couple days after my previous review. now I am not satisfied.
The best tripod5/19/2010
The only problem i have is a carry bag missing. i am having a tough time carrying them around, so i am looking for a bag.
steady on three legs3/16/2010
The tripod is a good value for the money. It is sturdy and solid. The only thing I don't like is the separable baseplate. There are two separable base plates which means you can lose one or both. If you lose both I would guess you'll be buying a new tripod.
Unbelievable Tripod for an Unbelievable Price!12/10/2009
For $30 I honestly didn't know what to expect but I was keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best considering the $180 list price. When it arrived I was completely blown away. This is a serious tripod with all the bells and whistles. It is very very sturdy and the fluid head is smooth as butter for capturing those perfect pans. I love the quick release feature for when you need to pull the video camera off in a hurry. If you can pick this tripod up for $30, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed.
Because this tripod was SUCH a good price, I was nervous about buying it thinking it would be a piece of junk - I was WRONG! This is a fantastic tripod! It has lots of cool features, like being able to use the rubber tipped feet or spikes, depending on the conditions. It extends very high, or can be setup pretty low. It's very sturdy; it would take a LOT of wind to blow this tripod over with a camera on it. Oh! I LOVE that it comes with two quick-release plates; I put one on my dSLR, and one on my camcorder. The ONLY downside - it's a little too heavy to plan on taking it hiking, but that was not a concern of mine. It's a SUPER deal. If you're thinking about it, get this one!
Great Product, Terrific Price12/2/2009
This is a very high quality tripod. I have used in in gymnasiums on bleachers with the legs at different levels and it is very stable. Fluid swivel and up/down movements. A great buy - would buy another if I needed it.
Well worth the money - very pleased!
A surprisingly good tripod11/7/2009
I received the item with full surprise. With over 25 years of photography experience, I would rate it 4.5 stars. Performance: it comes with two snap-in plates. It can be fast snap in, and with an additional lock-in botton, it is very stable. The plateform has a level bubble to ensure the even surfacing. The handling is pretty smooth. The leg is conventional with plastic locks, easy to release but steady for performance. Due to its height, The leg is widely spread once it is fully opened. However, the leg can be adjusted to a smaller angle by the central lock. Endurance: not sure yet. It looks or feels to be fairly heavy duty. The only thing I am not so sure is the release lock that is made of plastic. I do not know how long the plastic lock would last. One thing I should point out is that this tripod is fairly heavy. If you are looking for a light-weighted one to carry with on your hiking, this may not be the right one. It does not come with a soft case. Overall, this is a surpriseingly good tripod, better than what I expected and better than what I have bought before with much less money I paid. If you are taking serious photographs/videos and need a kind of heavy duty tripod, this one could be a good try.
Fast delivery. I ordered it on a Wednesday & it was delivered on a Friday! Very nice tripod, i was a little skeptical because it was only $29.99 but now that i've had it for a week i'm very satisfied. If you're in need of a tripod don't hesitate because this is the one to get!
Great Value for the Money11/3/2009
Very sturdy tripod and well built. The neck adjustment could be a bit smoother. The only negatives I have is that with the legs fully extended it has a very large footprint. It would be better if they didn't spread so wide, to make up for the loss of stability a locking nut on the leg stabilizer would work. It could use a handle attached at the center column to make it easier to carry also. Overall though its a very good tripod and well worth the money.
This is the sturdiest tripod I have ever touched! I thought they sent me the wrong one. I can't imagine it ever breaking or wearing out. Great for a video camera, because it moves so smooth. Great value. My only complaint - it feels like it weighs more than 6.2 lbs.
