Universal Studios Double Feature.
This ghoulish Universal Studios Double Feature is sure to chill you to the bone! From the studio that brought you the television classic Tales from the Crypt comes two films based on the spooky series: Bordello of Blood and Demon Knight!

Bordello of Blood: From the darkest corner of the earth, Lilith (Angie Everhart), the most bloodthirsty seductress ever, has been resurrected by "rock 'n roll" televangelist Reverend Jimmy Current (Chris Sarandon) to become the grande dame vampire of the Bordello of Blood. Operating from a secret brothel beneath a mortuary, the ravishing, red-haired, rapacious beauty and her newly recruited army of voluptuous, insatiable vampires are open for business. The seductive antics of the heartless hookers are suddenly threatened when Rafe Guttman (Dennis Miller) is hired by Bible-toting Katherine Verdoux (Erika Eleniak) to go in search of her rebellious brother Caleb (Corey Feldman), whom she suspects has fallen prey to the lecherous lot.

Demon Knight: The Crypt Keeper, "one of the hardest working stiffs in show biz," introduces a funny frightmare that unfolds with the help of a viciously versatile cast. The fearsome fun begins as a mysterious renegade named Brayker (William Sadler) is forced to defend a motley crew of boarding-house residents armed with sacred blood, automatic weapons and really strong stomachs, from a legion of insatiable demons. Leading the forces of darkness is the Collector (Billy Zane), a charismatic soul-taker who is determined to regain possession of an ancient talisman from Brayker. Jada Pinkett (A Low Down Dirty Shame) plays Jeryline, a young boarder with a troubled past, who joins Brayker in his quest to defeat the grisly invaders at their own game.

"[Bordello] ...a macabre, jokey affair...  James Berardinelli's ReelViews
"[Bordello] ...its humor is irreverent and up-to-the-minute.  Lawrence Van Gelder, The New York Times
"[Demon] ...gross-out gore and a fair share of t&a.  Leonard Maltin's Movie & Video Guide
"[Demon] ...a fang-in-cheek horror thriller...  Variety

Editor's Note
The Crypt keeper is back to introduce this ghoulish double feature based on the television series TALES FROM THE CRYPT. In BORDELLO OF BLOOD, detective Rafe Guttman (Dennis Miller) investigates supernatural occurrences at a funeral home. His search leads him to a bordello run by a vampire named Lilith (Angie Everhart), brought back to life by Jimmy Current (Chris Sarandon), a maniacal televangelist. The second feature, DEMON KNIGHT, introduces a mysterious man known as Frank Brayker (William Sadler). He is the guardian of a magical key that can open the gates to hell, and is pursued by the demonic collector (Billy Zane). To stop the forces of evil, Brayker must face the collector and his horde of zombies in a final showdown at a run-down hotel. The rest of the cast includes Jada Pinkett Smith (COLLATERAL) as Jeryline, and Thomas Haden Church (SIDEWAYS) as the devious Roach.

Professional Reviews

HorrorWatch 9 of 10
[Demon] Tales from the Crypt hits the big screen. In this cozy little caper a Demon, played by an awesome Billy Zane, is chasing down the last of seven keys that will unleash the hordes of hell back onto earth. The key however is held unto by a drifter who, thanks to whats inside the key, can defend himself against his would be stalker...The story comes to a head when our drifter hero winds up in a halfway house full of unique characters. The demon finds his way in through the dreams of the house occupants charming and deceiving them all, damn those hellspawn are slick...This movie has a good combination of action, violence, gore and comedy. The cast also do a great job, as I said Zane's demon is cool as hell, especially when he loses his cool and finally shows his true colors.

DVD Verdict 9 of 10
[Bordello] Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood begins with a crackling intro by everyone's favorite corpse, The Crypt Keeper (John Kassir), as well as a small cameo by William Sadler (Tales from the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight, Die Hard 2: Die Harder). The Crypt Keeper introduces us to our feature film Bordello of Blood, using every horror pun he can think of...If you are not a fan of goofy horror films, or are easily offended by naked women or Dennis Miller, you'll want to steer clear of Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood. But, if you're in the mood for a raunchy, fun, entertaining romp, Bordello of Blood is your cup of slime. Mindless entertainment at its maximum, this goes best with a group of frat guys and some Coors Light. - Patrick Naugle
