Annotation:
An old-fashioned counting game is presented in a visually brilliant way with a school of 10 digitally generated tropical fish that are gradually winnowed down to one. The one fish then meets a significant other and they build back up to a family of 10. The numbers are recited in the context of bouncily rhythmic rhymes, and the coral reef in the background will remind children of the film FINDING NEMO. Author Audrey Wood's son, Bruce Wood, created the bright digital illustrations.
