From the Publisher:
As Billie Coleman Kingsley, beloved matriarch of the Coleman clan and founder of a fabulously successful fashion empire lays dying, her family gathers together. As she fails, she tries to give them all strength to go on--after crisis, after tragedy, after heartbreak. From the seductive waters of Hawaii to the rustic splendor of Vermont, from the family's sprawling Texas ranch, Sunbridge, to the exotic beauty and high-tech glamour of Japan, the Colemans have been driven apart by the passions and betrayals of a new generation. But now, as they deal with the shattering news of Billie's illness, all the Colemans must transform their lives....
Author Bio
Fern Michaels
Fern Michaels grew up in Hastings, Pennsylvania, got married, and had five children before she picked up a pen to begin writing what would turn out be one best-selling romance after another. One of the most consistent bestselling romance writers of the '80s and '90s, Michaels writes mostly steamy historical romances with heavy doses of passion, seduction, and torrid adultery. Divorced from her first husband, she dedicates much of her time to philanthropic concerns, having set up the Fern Michaels Foundation, which grants scholarships to students in need. She also set up affordable pre-school and day-care centers for struggling single mothers.
