Fun book that can change you

This is a controversial book, because it doesn't follow the mainstream conventions when it comes to diet, exercise, and drugs (pharmaceuticals, supplements). I suggest you read other reviews of this book before purchasing it to see whether it is something you would really want. The book is well-written, but there are times where it is obvious that this is only Ferriss' second book. It's not the best read in the world, but what Tim Ferriss manages to do is take relatively dry information, and make it more digestible. The book has a scientific approach to weight loss and body change, but you don't need to be a scientist to follow along (but it does help). There is a misconception that diets and lifestyle changes like these are just for lazy people, and it's not true. I'm an athletic, smart person, and have played sports most of life. I was relatively healthy to begin with, but 4HB took me to a whole new level, and allowed me to understand what works and what doesn't with my body. If, after looking at some of the more in-depth reviews for 4HB around the internet, you are even mildly interested in the diet, I would suggest you pick up a copy of the book and read just the first 130 pages, and try the diet for a week. That's what I did, and I ended up losing 7 pounds of fat in the first week alone, and gaining about 4 pounds of muscle. It certainly worked for me.
