Illus. in full color. A bear explores a carton on a truck and gets carried away. By the time he has returned, the reader will be exposed to the concepts of "inside, outside, upside down."
From the Publisher:
The story is brief and funny. The words are few and easy, and have a happy, catchy rhythm. The pictures are clear and colorful clues to the text. An offspring of the world-famous Beginner Books, this Bright and Early Book is designed for an even lower age group. No matter how young your children are, Bright and Early Books will encourage their interest and delight in reading. After a little help from you, they'll soon be saying, 'I can read it all by myself!'
Annotation:
The Berenstain Bears introduce readers to spatial concepts when they turn a box upside down, take it outside, and put in on a truck. Color illustrations accompany the rhyming text.
Author Bio
Stan Berenstain
Stan Berenstain is best known for his books featuring the Berenstain Bears, a family of humorous bears which he created in collaboration with his wife, Jan. The couple met as students at the Philadelphia College of Art and began writing children's books when they were unable to find enough funny books to satisfy their son. The duo has made many contributions to the Beginner Books series created by Dr. Seuss in an effort to help children learn to read by using humor and a controlled vocabulary.
