The last summer in the life of a popular Nantucket restaurant--and the romance between its owner and a new employee--is described by the author of "The Beach Club."
From the Publisher:

Adrienne Dealey has spent the past six years working for hotels in exotic resort towns. This summer she has decided to make Nantucket home. Left flat broke by her ex-boyfriend, she’s desperate to earn some fast money. When the desirable Thatcher Smith, owner of Nantucket's hottest restaurant, is the only one to offer her a job, she wonders if she can get by with no restaurant experience. Thatcher gives Adrienne a crash course in the business...and they share an instant attraction.

But there’s a mystery about their situation: what is it about Fiona, the Blue Bistro's chef, that captures Thatcher's attention again and again? And why does such a successful restaurant seem to be in its final season before closing its doors for good? Despite her uncertainty, Adrienne must decide whether to open her heart for the first time, or move on, as she always does.
Fleeing a criminal boyfriend, Adrienne Dealey moves to Nantucket where's she's determined to start her life over and follow her new rule: "exercise good judgement about men." She's soon working at the popular tourist restaurant The Blue Bistro where she finds herself falling for the charismatic owner, Thatcher Smith, and wondering about the mysterious past of Fiona, the restaurant's chef. THE BLUE BISTRO provides beach-read romance amidst the hustle and bustle of a summer getaway.
Author Bio
Elin Hilderbrand
Bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand is often called the "queen of the summer novel," because each of her books is set on or around Nantucket, a picturesque island located 30 miles off the coast of Cape Cod. A native of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1991 and subsequently earned a master's degree in creative writing from the University of Iowa. In 1994 she settled on Nantucket, which she had visited previously while on vacation. Her debut novel, THE BEACH CLUB (2000), was inspired, in part, by the hotel and resort her husband then managed there. Writing for Kirkus Reviews, one critic deemed it "a feisty, evanescent first novel, lively enough to keep a sunbather awake." Hilderbrand's subsequent novels have enjoyed equal popularity, and she sees little reason to change either the setting of her books or the location of her home. "Nantucket, for me and for many, is a place of healing. It's one of the few authentic places left in America," she has said. "I am not fully comfortable unless I am on Nantucket."

"Hilderbrand keeps things moving briskly in between sumptuous descriptions of food, drink, and tableware, throwing in an in-depth lesson on the restaurant business for good measure."
