Author Bio
David Bradley
Bradley was born in a rural Pennsylvania coal-mining region, the son of a preacher. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude, in 1972, and studied for an M.A. at the University of London on scholarship in 1974. His first novel, SOUTH STREET, set in Philadelphia, was published in 1975. In 1982, THE CHANEYSVILLE INCIDENT won the PEN/Faulkner Award. Bradley has been a professor of English and creative writing in Pennsylvania universities.
