When a big bad wolf moves to town, it would seem that the chicken sisters' fate is sealed, but in a clever twist, the eccentric trio saves the day. The unwitting wolf proves to be no match for the good intentions of these itchy-sweater-knitting, off-key-singing, burnt-cookie-baking neighbors. Here's one wolf that's off to live with his mother! Full color.

Annotation:
A big bad wolf moves to a new town and is thrilled to discover that his next-door neighbors are three chicken sisters. As soon as he settles in, he makes plans to turn his neighbors into his dinner, but the chicken sisters are far too clever to let themselves be turned into wolf food. Color illustrations accompany the text.
Author Bio
Laura Joffe Numeroff
Well known for her 1985 picture book IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE, Laura Joffe Numeroff is an author and illustrator of picture books. A reader from a young age, Numeroff has said she began drawing almost as soon as her hands were big enough to hold a crayon. Her first book, AMY FOR SHORT, was published in 1976 after she created it for her Writing and Illustrating for Children's Books class at the Pratt Institute--a class taught by author Barbara Bottner. In addition to her work as an author and illustrator, Numeroff has also been employed as a private investigator and a merry-go-round operator.
