Annotation:
Since 12-year-old Mark's parents are in the midst of a bitter divorce, he is temporarily living with his grandparents. Things seem to be going pretty well for Mark as he's become the star of the school's soccer team and has made some new friends. One day Mark loses his temper on the field and his anger frightens everyone including Mark himself. Will Mark be able to deal with his anger appropriately or will his newly-found temper keep him benched for the rest of the season?
Author Bio
Matt Christopher
Matt Christopher was a semiprofessional baseball player until an injury permanently benched him. His first book, THE LUCKY BASEBALL BAT, was published in 1954. Christopher's specialty is writing children's books with a sports theme--not just limited to his personal specialty, baseball, but also football, hockey, basketball, and a variety of other sports. His more recent works, while still focusing on a sports theme, have also added elements of mystery, fantasy, and the supernatural.
