What a revealing journey!
This book was an easy read (1 day) and kept me coming back for more. The chapters were short and blended the two stories (the fishermen and the author's own life) together wonderfully. This book presented a story of despair and survival from two angles. This literature smacked me right in the face with my own plot in life. We are all afloat in this life, doing all we can to survive. The folly is that God has it all in His hands and will work things out perfectly! This book also helped me to realize that sometimes things in life are repeated over and over so that we get the chance to get it right. What an eye opener! While the book was interesting and educational, there seemed to be something "missing". The stories were well portrayed and the lessons and outcomes very well detailed, yet there was an element that lacked. Maybe the final movie presentation is yet to emerge filling in the void? (I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review)
