Author Info
W. E. B. Griffin
W. E. B. Griffin's first assignment in the U.S. Army brought him to Germany as a part of the army of occupation. Having first joined in 1946, Griffin interrupted his studies at Philips University in Germany to serve again in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953, seeing active duty as a combat information officer. He continued to work with the Army after the war as chief of the publications division in Alabama, but left this post after publishing three novels and realizing he could now make a living writing military thrillers. Also the author of a series of police procedurals, Griffin is best known for the thrillers he set during both the Vietnam and Korean wars. Having had direct experience with his subject, Griffin injects all his work with a degree of detail and authenticity his readers have come to expect.

From the Publisher
Editors Note A Philadelphia narcotics cop is shot dead in his home. A bar owner's wife and partner are gunned down during an attempted robbery. And in a beautiful mansion, a young woman dies of a heroin overdose. At first the crimes seem unconnected. But these four deaths are about to trigger a massive convergence of corruption, cops, and the mob that could tear the Philadelphia Police Department apart from the inside out. All the way to the top...
