Annotation:
Artist Rachel Isadora brings Clement C. Moore's classic Christmas verses to Africa with panache and style. Her jolly African Santa sports glorious gray dreadlocks, animal prints, and reindeer decked out in kente cloth. Santa is bringing wonderful toys to sleeping children in the savanna, where there's even some snow! With colorful collage illustrations.
Author Bio
Rachel Isadora
Author and illustrator Rachel Isadora planned a career as a ballerina but an injury forced her to abandon that dream. Many of her books, such as her first, MAX, reflect her interest in dance. Her 1979 work, BEN'S TRUMPET, was named a Caldecott Honor Book. In addition to her picture books, Isadora also creates books for toddlers such as I HEAR and FRIENDS.
