From the Publisher:
A young girl's new quilt made from her old things--pajamas, curtains, and her first crib sheet--inspires a dream-adventure. "The intricate illustrations in Jonas's new book can be described only in superlatives....A landmark in children's literature."--Publishers Weekly. The new quilt is finished, and what a quilt it is! Here is a square from the proud owner's baby pajamas, and one from the shirt she wore on her second birthday. There is even a square of the same material from which her mother made her stuffed dog Sally. How can she possibly sleep when there is so much to look at, and remember, and dream about . . . ?
Annotation:
A young girl has a new quilt made from her old crib sheet, curtains, and pajamas. When she sleeps, it comes alive in an exciting dream-adventure.
Author Bio
Ann Jonas
Ann Jonas was first encouraged to create picture books by her husband, author and illustrator Donald Crews. After graduating from high school, Jonas worked for several years doing advertising for a department store. She eventually left that job and began studying art at Cooper Union, where she met Crews. Her first book, WHEN YOU WERE A BABY, was published in 1982. Jonas's work reflects her interest in design and visual effects. Jonas and Crews have two daughters, Nina and Amy. In 1995, Nina entered the family business when she published her first picture book, ONE HOT SUMMER DAY.
