It's a slight premise, but the adventure itself was anything but. In fact, it was so successful that both participants wanted it to go on; they continued "the streak" for 1,000 nights and more until the author left for college. Ozma fondly remembers characters, incidents, and life-lessons learned from the books she and her father discussed, but she recalls more than anything else the bonds they forged on this long and loving voyage, and the confidence she gained from her father's gift.
