From the Publisher:
After eight hundred years as a bachelor, Garrett Mortimer, an immortal hunter assigned to protect the world from renegade vampires, finds himself strangely attracted to Samantha Willan, a workaholic attorney seeking some relaxation in a country cottage after a recent romantic breakup. Original.

Samantha Willan is a workaholic lawyer. She's grateful for some rest and relaxation in cottage country, and after a recent breakup she wants to stay as far away from romance as possible. Then she meets her irresistible new neighbor. There's something strange and mysterious about his eyes. Is it just her imagination, or are they locked on her neck?

Garrett Mortimer is a rogue hunter. His last assignment united Lucian Argeneau with his lifemate, and Mortimer is hoping this one will be less . . . adventurous. He's here to track down a reported rogue, but fun in the sun is every bloodsucker's nightmare. Worse, he can't seem to get his mind off Samantha, especially when he spies her skinny-dipping in the lake. After eight hundred years as a bachelor, is he ready to turn a volatile attraction into a lasting love affair?

Annotation:
Lynsay Sands crafts a spin-off of her bestselling Argeneau series with another steamy tale of lust and vampires. Samantha Wilson finds her vacation getaway taking a strange turn when she bumps into sexy "rogue hunter" Garrett Mortimer. Garrett is searching for a misbehaving vampire, but his mission is thrown off track once he lays eyes on Samantha. Sands has written more than 34 novels, many of them paranormal romances, and her books frequently make the NEW YORK TIMES bestseller list.
Author Bio
Lynsay Sands
Since publishing her first romance, THE DEED, in 1997, Lynsay Sands has written dozens of novels; all of them--no matter what the subgenre--showcase her snappy wit and good-natured humor. She has penned both contemporary and historical works, and among her most popular volumes are those in the Argeneau vampire series. "The idea [for the vampire novels] came while [chatting] with some writer friends," she has explained. "One of them suggested doing a vampire anthology, with each of us doing our own take. With my track record in romantic comedy, I said if we did that, my character would probably faint at the sight of blood or something. . . . The anthology never came to pass, but the ideas lingered in my mind." Sands was born in Ontario, Canada, and graduated from the University of Windsor. While still a student, she began submitting manuscripts to publishing houses but met with rejection until finally selling THE DEED. The first book in the Argeneau series, SINGLE WHITE VAMPIRE (2003), earned Sands a larger, more diverse audience. Fans of fantasy, horror and science fiction are drawn to her work, and men make up a significant portion of her readership. Her books now appear regularly on bestseller lists, and Sands has been the recipient of the Paranormal Excellence Award for Romantic Literature, better known by the acronym P.E.A.R.L., multiple times.
