Clement Hurd redrew some of his pictures for this new edition of the profoundly comforting story of a bunny’ s imaginary game of hide-and-seek and the lovingly steadfast mother who finds him every time.

From the Publisher:
A little rabbit who wants to run away tells his mother how he will escape, but she is always right behind him
Along with GOODNIGHT MOON, this story is one of America's classic bedtime tales. A little white bunny tells his mother of the many creative ways he plans to run away from home, and his mother responds by saying him that she will always be able to find him. No matter where he hides, because she loves him, she'll always know just where he is. B&W drawings show the imaginary adventures of the little bunny, while his mother's replies are depicted in color.

Margaret Wise Brown
Margaret Wise Brown, best known for GOODNIGHT MOON, the enduring classic given to every new parent, wrote over 100 books for children and was a pioneer in the areas of children's literature and education. Though many of her books featured bunnies and other fluffy creatures, she belonged to the Buckram Beagles, a Long Island hunting club. Brown won the Caldecott Medal in 1947 for THE LITTLE ISLAND. She died tragically young, at the age of 42 of an embolism following a routine operation.
