In this fantasy story Princess Torina befriends Prince Landen of Bellandra when she refuses to accept him as her slave after her father, King Kareed of Archeld, conquers his kingdom. When King Kareed is murdered by one of his advisors who then seizes the crown, Prince Landen is framed for the crime. Now Torina and Landen must work together to defeat the usurpers and return the kingdom to Torina's rule.
