Annotation:
Questions of saint-hood, inheritance, spirituality, family history, and greed swirl into a potent blend in bestseller Mary Higgins Clark absorbing thriller, THE SHADOW OF YOUR SMILE. For her years of service to the church, nun Catherine Morrow is posthumously being considered for beatification. Her dying cousin, Olivia, however has two letters in her possession that prove that before she joined the church, Catherine had an illegitimate son. Catherine never knew her son, and he never knew his biological mother, so he could not have introduced his daughter, pediatrician Dr. Monica Farrell, to her grandmother. If Olivia comes forth with what she knows, Monica, however, now stands as heir to a large fortune. But that money is wrapped up in a powerful foundation, and there are many who will go to great and horrifying lengths to keep that money under their control.
