Author Bio
Chris Crutcher
Chris Crutcher graduated from Eastern Washington State University with a degree in psychology/sociology. He has worked as a teacher of high school dropouts, as a coordinator of a child abuse protection agency, and as a child- and family therapist. This educational and professional background is strongly reflected in his novels for young adults, which often involve a sports theme and a protagonist who uses athletics as a means of controlling their otherwise difficult lives. His first novel, RUNNING LOOSE, was published in 1983.
