Author Bio
John Reed
John Reed graduated from Harvard in 1910. As a journalist, Reed covered the Mexican Revolution in 1914. He reported from Eastern Europe during the First World War. Reed was also an influential member of the Communist Party, and it was as both reporter and radical that he traveled to Russia to write about the October Revolution. He returned to the Soviet Union in 1919 and died there of typhus the following year. Reed is the only American buried at the Kremlin.
