Author Bio
Jack Finney
Jack Finney was born Walter Braden Finney. He was educated at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. Finney worked in advertising for several years in New York while his writing career gradually became more successful. After publishing several short stories in magazines, his first novel, "Five Against the House" was published in 1954. The next year he published "The Body Snatchers" (since reissued as "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"), which was made (and remade) into a successful film. Several other of his novels have also been adapted for the screen. Finney's greatest success was the novel "Time and Again", which has proven to be a durable favorite of New Yorkers and history buffs. Finney lived in Mill Valley, California for the last several years of his life.
