Product Overview

A bored young soldier impulsively decides to go on his first hitchhiking trip over the four-day weekend on Labor Day 2007. Every kind of person imaginable picks him up. After a series of random circumstances he winds up in a television studio in Asheville, where he meets Michelle, a beautiful young violinist who takes him home and adopts him into her wealthy family. He hitchhikes back, trying desperately to make it to the barracks before heas considered AWOL. The soldier dances with a midget, drives a Lexus, drinks with hoboes, evades security guards while secretly camping in a hospital, accepts providential handouts from rides, and blindly trusts fate. He barely spends any money, yet he has the time of his life.
