A lot more fun that I expected
This is my first Tiger Woods golf game purchase so I had no idea what to expect. The first thing I did was upload front and side view head shots of myself to EA Sports website. When I turned on the console it immediately found my files and I was able to create a golfer that looks like a mirror image of myself. The only problem was that I accidentally picked right-handed and I'm left-handed and once some attributes are picked, you're stuck with them. My guy looks a bit tall on the course, which was hard to judge while creating the avatar, but height can't be changed now. Once you create a custom golfer they are pretty much terrible. You can build up your skills through playing, but it takes forever. I got sick of scoring 40 over on the PGA Tour, so I sucked it up and bought the max attributes outfit set with MS Points. Now the game is actually worth playing because you can almost do decently well compared to Tiger Woods. I say almost because he seems to eagle or birdie every hole on the tour. I just started playing golf so I thought it might be fun to get a video game version of the sport as well. I am very pleased with this purchase now that my avatar can actually compete with the AI. Since Tiger Woods 2011 came out the 2010 version is dirt cheap everywhere so it's definitely worth picking up to see if you like the franchise before dropping $60 on the new one. The only problem with this is that the free year subscription to golf magazine inside the game has expired. Not a huge deal since it's only a $10 value, but it'd be nice to not have to buy the $60 version to get.
